1. Remove the seeds of dates and soak them in a bowl with hot milk. Gently mix with a spoon and set aside for 10-15 minutes or till milk comes to room temperature.
2. Preheat the oven to 340 ℉/170 ℃. Grease a 20 cm x 11.5 cm x 6 cm loaf pan and line it with parchment/butter paper.
3. Remove 3-4 tablespoons of soaked dates into a large bowl. Make a puree from the remaining dates. Add the puree also to the large bowl.
4. Add brown sugar, oil, and eggs. Mix until well combined.
5. Sift in the dry ingredients, and add the mixed nuts. Mix with a whisk/spatula till well combined.
6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Bake for 55-60 minutes or until a skewer inserted in the center comes out clean. Let it cool in the pan itself for 5-8 minutes then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Serve or store.
