Let’s gather the ingredients!
Following is a preview of the ingredients required, for the detailed list, find the recipe card below:
- Ripe Bananas: Make sure your bananas are very ripe for the best results! If you prefer a less fruity taste, try substituting them 2 eggs.
- All-Purpose Flour
- Dark Chocolate(chopped): If you are not a fan use milk chocolate. But Dark chocolate helps to balance the sweetness of caramel and banana. So, even if you aren’t a fan give it a try.
- Brown sugar: Brown sugar helps to elevate the taste but if don’t have brown sugar add your regular granulated sugar. Just reduce ¼ part of the quantity mentioned.
- Butter: Unsalted and softened at room temperature.
- Walnuts: For extra crunch but they are optional.
- Vanilla Extract
- Caramel Sauce: Use my homemade caramel sauce for the ultimate flavour, but store-bought works in a pinch. If you want a saltier kick, sprinkle some flaky sea salt on top!
- Baking Powder

- Cooling Time: Let the bars cool fully before slicing to prevent the caramel from becoming too runny.
Storage Instructions
- Room Temperature: These bars can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. Make sure to keep them in a cool, dry place.
- Fridge: Store the bars in the fridge for up to 5-7 days. The caramel will firm up slightly, so let them sit at room temperature for 10 minutes before eating.
