Nutella marble cookies are the best of both worlds. The combination of classic and Nutella not only creates a marble effect but is great for people who can’t choose one. The Nutella part of the cookie doesn’t overpower the simple butter side of the cookie. The flavour of both parts is distinct yet complimentary.

For something that looks so exquisite, these Nutella marble cookies are very simple to make. You only need to create one basic cookie dough which is then divided and flavoured. Creating the marble effect is also child’s play. You just need to combine these flavoured dough balls in different ways to create different marble patterns.

These cookies require no chill time. From start to finish these cookies roughly takes 30 minutes to be done. As mentioned above only 5 easily accessible ingredients are needed. So basically with a little effort and patience, you can create these stunning Nutella marble cookies in the comfort of your home.

How to make Nutella Marble Cookies?

  • Making cookie dough

Plain dough: Cream butter and powdered sugar until silky smooth. Add flour, cornflour, and salt. Mix to form a dough.

Nutella Dough: Divide the plain dough into two parts. Keep one part as it is. In the next part add nutella and little flour. Bring them together with your hands to form a dough.

  • Shaping and Making Marbling Pattern

Make small balls from both doughs. Combine plain dough balls and Nutella dough balls. Don’t combine them thoroughly (maintain their distinct colour). Roll them into balls and slightly press them flat. Place on a butter/parchment lined baking tray with little distance between them.

  • Baking

Bake the Nutella marble cookies in a preheated oven until the edges turn slightly golden. Place them on a wire rack after some time to cool completely. After they have cooled down completely serve or store.

How to Store Nutella Marble Cookies?

Once the cookies have been completely cooled, they can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week. You can also freeze the baked cookies. Place completely cooled cookies in an airtight and freezer-safe container for up to 3 months.

How to chill/freeze the Nutella Marble Cookie dough?

After the cookies have been shaped and placed on the baking tray, place the tray in the fridge for 2-3 days. Or place the tray in the freezer for 1-2 hours. After they have frozen completely, place the cookies in an airtight container or a zip-lock bag and freeze for up to 2 months. You can bake them straight from the freezer, it will only require a couple of extra minutes to bake.

Tips for successful baking:-

  1. Use room-temperature ingredients like butter, eggs, etc. for proper and fast mixing.
  2. The wet ingredients can mix for a long time and at high speed, but as soon as you add dry ingredients to the batter, you must mix slowly and in the shortest possible time.
